The audiobook company, BibAudio, increases its number of studios with the takeover of Selvlyd and aims at markets outside the country's borders.
In mid-April there was a changeover day at Selvlyd in Frederiksberg, when the founder of the company, Ulrik Aagaard, has chosen to pass the keys on to BibAudio. In connection with the takeover, it has been decided to continue the activities under the name Selvlyd and BibAudio's activities will thus be placed under Selvlyd, writes BibAudio in a press release.
Ulrik Aagaard also entrusts the day-to-day operations to Pia Maiken Henriksen, who has been involved in the production of audiobooks since 2014 and has extensive knowledge of the area.
Pia states in connection with the takeover that BibAudio has been looking for a long time to establish sound studios in Copenhagen, where a pleasant atmosphere and atmosphere could be created for the downloaders.
- When the opportunity presented itself to take over Selvlyd and these sound studios, we were sure that this was the perfect solution, says Pia Maiken Henriksen.
Ulrik Aagaard states that he is proud to have built Selvlyd to what it is today and to have created a mood and atmosphere in the sound studios that uploaders and publishers are excited about.
- I am happy that BibAudio wants to continue the activities in the same spirit that I have created and that Selvlyd will continue to be the name of the company. It's sad to have to let go of the keys to something I've been running since 2015, but I'm looking forward to embarking on new adventures.
Pia Maiken Henriksen says that Selvlyd is now established with seven own sound studios in Copenhagen and two in Odense, as well as countless home studios. In addition, Selvlyd offers downloads of their audiobooks in Danish, Swedish, German, French and Italian, and the ambition is for more languages to be added.
- At Selvlyd, we want to make it easy for the publishers to have their books loaded in many different languages, and facilitate their work in making the book digital in foreign markets. We see an increasing interest in digital media, and at Selvlyd we continue to believe that a good listening experience can be obtained by having professional avid readers bring the text to life, says Pia Maiken Henriksen and concludes:
- Ulrik Aagaard has created a fantastic space and environment for loading audiobooks in Copenhagen and we will see if this setup will be successful in establishing other locations in Europe.
